Step 1: Often times your lights will not turn on due to a GFI (Ground Fault Interceptor) outlet turning off. GFI outlets will shut off when moisture is detected as a safety feature.
To reset your GFI outlet; locate the wall outlet that the timer is plugged into and Hit the Red Reset button. (If lights are still off, continue to Step 2)
Step 2: Unplug the timer and let it dry out from any moisture that may be present. Hit the Red Reset button on your outlet again and plug the timer back in.
* Although it is standard for us to cover all possible entries for moisture, rain still may affect lighting displays. Every outlet is different as far as sensitivity to moisture.
* Check all light strands to be sure no lights or connecting ends are lying in the water.
* Automatic or timed sprinkler systems can soak your light strands and trip the GFI circuit. Reset your sprinklers so that they come on when the lights are off (such as in the morning).
